Our overall winner, in record time, was Jay Smithberger, from Granville, Ohio, in 4:31:05. He beat Tom Possert’s old record by thirteen minutes! Our woman’s winner, also in record time, was Kim Martin, from Medina, Ohio, in 5:12:48. She beat Linda Barhorst’s old record by thirty minutes! Kara Showalter set a new <30 women’s record, Ellen Erhardt set the 30-39 women’s record, while Don Frichtl set a men’s 50-59 record and Bill Atkinson set the >60 mark. We had 65 runners registered, 63 starters, and 51 finishers, all records. Even the weather was a record: 80 degrees was a new Cincinnati high for 10/21. |
